"Quantum physics" as a religion, and parallel to Flat Earth

I was watching this video featuring a dude who used to be one of my all time favorites to listen to, Max Igan. I agree with nearly everything the dude says, right up to the "flat earth" is too convoluted and divisive to really make any sense of....probably a "psyop" to divide the community:

See, the thing to me is that any time I hear any non-charged serious discussion on the topic, I immediately go to the mythical "double slit" experiment in my thoughts. The first thing I'm doing in any free time after writing this, is seeing if I can find video of the damn thing, and failing that try to dig some serious but comprehendible papers on it.
Because some of the best wisdom I got from 10th AP Bio was that if someone can't explain something at the "Sesame Street" level (i.e. one that a small kid can understand), they probably don't know what they're talking about.
The Sesame Street double slit: some motherfuckers created a machine that can isolate a photon (single smallest "quanta"/unit of light)...shot one of them bitches into something they could detect whether it behaved as a particle or a wave (I guess the two acceptable states of energy on the smallest observable aka quantum level), and concluded it depends on the observers beliefs at the time. (Please correct me if my loose interpretation skews the "argument" in any way)
The thing that is crazy to me, is how "mundane" even talking about it is. We don't ever really seem to examine some of the things we believe even when it seems INSANE not to. I guess having a vitamin D deficiency (I was diagnosed with MS) has me thinking a lot about it, because according to accepted science the best way for me to get it is through my retinas from sun beams.
If there is an actual VITAMIN in a sunbeam that mechanisms in our physical bodies can consume, there is definitely a component from the light from the sun that behaves in a way we'd describe as a particle (getting a suntan/burnt is another example). I gotta brush up on my vocabulary, but when I think "wave" behavior I think the types of things that separate what we call "radiation" from "pysical matter". Maybe that's incorrect, and where I'm getting tripped up, but when I imagine the double slit I think they're shooting that thing into a piece of paper sort of "detector", if it makes a bump in the physical thing it's a particle and if it doesn't it's a wave...is that how it works?
Anyways...that isn't even the bone I have to pick with the experiment. It is "magical" to me that not only was a machine built that can isolate something that we'd consider "one unit" of light, but even more so that we can detect it (particle accelerators are magic to me too). I have no reason to believe it's not a psyop, or the intentional creation of a religion, or both. I have no way to empirical check the data for myself. Even if I started studying mechanical engineering to design the instruments and the physics and math of known particle behavior it would be a long shot for me to acquire the resources to put it together and test the theory...and an even longer shot that another living individual is going to recreate it. I mean, why bother....it's already a piece of "authority accepted science"
just like Darwinian evolution.....EXCEPT the Darwinian evolution thing is kind of a big deal. It's taught in about every level school in some shape or form, debated, trials were held on it, and it's silly in the mainstream to not think that General explanation of Darwin's "Evolution of Species" as interpreted and transmitted by the scientific authorities put it out there...RANDOM mutations that improve the chances of survival of a species win, non-adapting beings go extinct. No one really seems to think about how magical of a dirty RANDOM actually is if you give it any thought, but that's a whole other subject for a whole other day.
It would be significantly easier to chill in the Galápagos Islands and watch the birds for some years...though at the time it may have been tough for the gringo who apparently did it....than it would be for me to build a satellite that could get through the atmosphere and take some pictures, which I would think would be easier than building a photon of light seperator and precision shooter (not only were these scientific maniacs able to separate ONE TEENSY BIT OF LIGHT, they could snipe that bitch into an observable detection area).
Point being, the science we are allowed to believe in, that isn't patented (OWNED) by some authority, is slightly less RELIGIOUS than any of the horseshit out there. Just because there's REAMS of "empirical" data that has proven useful in advancing our technology...aka our ability to manipulate our reality...we still have SO MANY unprovable beliefs we rely on to "understand" the reality we exist in. And I think one of the biggest leaps of faith is taking the double slit on someone else's words...like the "mainstream" take "Darwin" on how. It's taught in pop culture.... I mean, that's one of the things that make a lot of us "alt", right? The belief that we may be engineered (I don't particularly believe that, but many of the narratives rely on that), or in my slightly less fundy new age belief that "mutations" are NOT random.
I digress....my point I'm trying to get to is that I am kind of seeing the "flat earth" as a new (or an attempt at a) double slit. The conclusion that you would draw from the data that is accessible (push on?) to us is that it is whatever most people believe. The way we arrange our lives currently, our understanding of our place in existence, is all geared to the spherical "fractal of an atom" sort spheres moving in space. Before that was mainstream, the collective consciousness must have been extremely different...or at least I believe so, based on what I was taught about the "argument" being corrected when I was a kid...I remember cartoons of Christopher Colombus going on his expedition NOT for profit or the queen or whatever...HE WENT TO PROVE THE WORLD WAS ROUND...or so that narrative went as it programmed me as a child.
The fact that I can't get off the earth, at least not in physical body, at the current moment, in any vehicle I have access to, makes it impractical to give the counter argument the benefit of the doubt. In other words, it does not serve me in any useful way to live my life counter to the prevailing belief system. EVEN THOUGH I ACTUALLY HAVE beliefs that would make it just as likely: I believe that the information that enters our awareness can be controlled in masterful way to convince the smartest most informed skeptics of ANYTHING, I believe ALL human beings are capable of the most self destructive, self defeating insane cognitive dissonances....so that sometimes my belief is close to a flat earth (in the simulation/"13th Floor" sort of way) belief...but that it's more a "flat/finite" UNIVERSE...in other words, I disbelieve our current concept of "infinite"...BUT for our minds.
Did the rest of the exitence (solar system/space) NEED to existence in the collective consciousness pre-Copernicus? Or did our understanding evolve as those owned real practical knowledge allowed it to be (leaked)? Does the majority of the collective beleiving something make it true (like Trump will do this or Hil-dog will do that...)....I think "Obama doing shit" is a fantasy...he's never made a decision that matters in his life...or he'd have gone the way of JFK...but does that matter? MEEEELIONS will go out and vote. Is it true that EVERY NASA photo is through some kind filter....can we take a non digital of space phenomenon, even a pic of our planet? Or is it true that they are all faked, and the one pic we have in the history of satellites is a composite?
I'm not trying to argue for the flat earth, I choose to not to believe it...but I find the thought experiment fascinating in the same way I did 911 research. I just couldn't understand how we could have 60's style silly questions that should be easily checked by the insane amount of technology and resources in aught-one. And not only was the available not inspected in any kind of sane way, it was used to justify and emotionally attach "rational" people to ra-ra "America" while it "shock & awed" civilian Baghdad into giving up ONE PERSON in the name of the WAR ON (presumably supposedly AGAINST) terror.
Anyway more digression, maybe someone someday can make sense of my rambling, I intend to try at some point. Maybe there will be a "copericus" type point in history where we switch to a new acceptable view of reality on the collective level. I think the flat earth is an experiment into floating a new spin on the double slit "create your own" reality where the observer determines the nature of light. It is my unabashed religious belief that sunlight is our real "source", at least for our physical reality, and deserves more attention than historical mutations on our meatbags...maybe that's what "Ascension" is, the point in time the collective accepts our "wave" nature is AS IMPORTANT as our "particle" nature?
